In a remarkable achievement, the team behind Carve secured a spot among the global top 100 finalists of the Google Solution Challenge 2023, a prestigious hackathon dedicated to tackling the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Over a span of four months, they developed Carve, a mobile application designed exclusively for expectant mothers. With a range of comprehensive features, Carve offers personalized support, resources, and a nurturing community to guide expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy journey.

Carve was meticulously crafted to address the unique needs and challenges faced by expectant mothers. The app provides a wide array of features to ensure comprehensive support, including prenatal health tracking, personalized insights, and a platform for connecting with healthcare professionals and other expectant mothers. This holistic approach enables mothers to access essential information, track their progress, and seek guidance, empowering them to make informed decisions and maintain their well-being throughout their pregnancy.


Collaboration with Google Developer Experts

Recognizing the significance of expertise and guidance, the Carve team collaborated closely with Google Developer Experts throughout the app's development process. Hospital visits and interactions with 19 medical professionals, 4 NGOs, and over 20 pregnant mothers were carried out to validate the problem and gather invaluable insights. This hands-on approach helped shape Carve into a truly user-centered solution, tailored to meet the specific needs and concerns of expectant mothers.

Leveraging the capabilities of Flutter and Firebase, the Carve team developed and implemented additional features that further enhanced the app's functionality.
