In an impressive achievement, our team emerged as the first runner-up in Samsung's Reimagine Foldables for Malaysians UI/UX Hackathon. With a focus on enhancing the UI/UX experience of local F&B apps on foldable screens, we had the opportunity to reimagine Gigi Coffee's app and create an innovative solution for a seamless coffee experience. With a prize pool of almost 40,000 Ringgit worth of Samsung devices, our redesigned app offers a responsive layout, immersive app continuity, and optimized features for the larger screens of foldable devices.
Redesigning Gigi Coffee's App
Our goal was to create a user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) that seamlessly integrated with the unique capabilities of foldable screens. We started by redesigning the Gigi Coffee app, ensuring a responsive layout that adapts flawlessly to different screen sizes. This responsive design guarantees that users can enjoy a consistent and visually appealing experience, whether they are using a traditional smartphone or a foldable device like the Galaxy Fold.
